Questions
What people ask before signing up
Is Typoza a WordPress alternative?
For a blog, yes: the import reads your WordPress export file, your old addresses get redirected, and there is no plugin to maintain or update to watch. For anything else, no — and we would rather say so. WordPress runs storefronts, directories and form-driven sites thanks to sixty thousand plugins we will never have. Typoza publishes articles. If your site is a blog, you gain; if it is something else, stay where you are.
How does Typoza compare to Ghost?
Ghost is the closest thing to us, and it is well made: same refusal of plugins, same taste for speed. Three differences decide it. Typoza is built for technical writing — tabbed code blocks, spec sheets and callouts exist out of the box rather than as themes to install. AI assistance is built in and metered by credit instead of absent. And one account can hold several separate workspaces, each with its own identity and its own team. What Ghost does better today: paid reader subscriptions, which we do not offer at all, self-hosting, and ten years of themes and integrations behind it.
What happens if I stop paying?
Nothing is deleted. Your workspace drops back to the free plan's limits: beyond one workspace, the ones you did not keep active go read-only, and members over the limit lose access. Your posts stay published and your export stays downloadable — including from a read-only workspace. Taking a paid plan again reopens everything, exactly as you left it.
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes, from the Collective plan. You point a domain you already own at your site, the certificate is issued for you, and your Typoza subdomain then redirects to it permanently — which keeps the search ranking you have built. On the free plan, your site lives on a typoza.com subdomain.
Are my readers tracked?
No. A workspace's public site sets no cookie at all, and that sentence is checked by a test on every release. Traffic statistics come from a counter we wrote ourselves, with no persistent identifier: the fingerprint that tells two visitors apart is recomputed every night, which makes following anyone from one day to the next impossible. Nothing is sent to a third party.
Does the AI write my posts for me?
No, and that is not what it is there for. It suggests titles, drafts a summary, writes alt text for an image, flags a clumsy sentence on a second read — always because you asked, and always as a suggestion you keep or throw away. Every plan includes a credit quota, and the balance left is on screen at all times.
